Mataró is the capital of the Catalan comarca of Maresme in the province of Barcelona. The city is located about 30 km northeast of Barcelona at the Mediterranean coast, called "Costa del Maresme". Barcelona can be reached by car in about 25 minutes via the motorway or the N-II national road. There is also a direct train connection from Mataró to Barcelona City. Mataró features a very long sandy beach.
On top of the hill, close to the villa, there is a typical restaurant Catalan style. WIthin some hundred meters you´ll find tennis courts to rent.
